Use the App Version That Matches Your Activation Key

An activation key is valid for the version of Stop Motion Studio you purchased. It may not activate a different version of the app. For example, a key purchased for Stop Motion Studio may not work with Stop Motion Studio 2.

If your key is not accepted:

1. Check your purchase or activation email to find the version you bought.
2. Visit the Stop Motion Studio download page.
3. Download and install that version for your Windows or Mac computer. The page includes current and older releases.
4. Open the installed app and enter the activation key from your purchase email.

If you purchased the app through the Microsoft Store or Mac App Store, install it from that store using the account that made the purchase. Store purchases do not require a separate activation key.

If you are unsure which version you purchased, contact support and include your purchase email or receipt and the name of the version currently installed.
